The “Trump Network” adds a new name and credibility to an old industry

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

You certainly can’t blame people for looking for a new way to make a living. Presently unemployment is more than 10% and less new jobs are available than they were in the 1930’s.

While many have dropped out of the workforce, others are pursuing their dreams of business ownership. But with limited funds and a tight lending market, traditional businesses may be beyond the means of many who are looking at this option. Even for those who do have the capital, dipping their toes in the foreign waters of self employment can be scary.

One can invest a large amount of money in inventory, leases of space, payroll for employees, licenses, etc., all start up costs for a small business before any return on the investment appears. Since 4 out of 5 new businesses fail in their first year due to lack of capitol or lack of experience of the owner, it’s a scary prospect.

It may seem smarter to buy a business that is already running, but there are risks involved in such an enterprise, too. Unless you investigate very thoroughly, you must depend on the current owners say so as to whether the business has the capacity to do well in the future. So why is he selling it if it is successful? Is their best salesman leaving? Is the equipment out of date and will soon no longer be used by the industry? Is their big contact about to end with no more in sight? You’ll be spending a lot of money for an established business, so you have to find out just how well it is established.

So one of the other alternatives is to look at is a franchise. While the risks are lower due to branding and a training methodology that is fairly well proven. You again will pay a premium for that methodology and will also; more then likely have to pay a steep markup to buy products that the franchisor requires you to purchase. Also, when funds get tight some franchisors will be less then scrupulous in an effort to get your franchise fee to keep their doors open. Even if that doesn’t happen, the added costs along with the traditional costs of starting a new business are generally high enough that it will keep most prospective buyers out of the marketplace.

So what are the rest of us to do? There is a business plan that has been around for a long time with very low start up costs, very low overhead and the possibility to work at home. Some people have become rich from this plan, but at present it has a disgraceful reputation. “Network marketing,” more commonly called MLM, is that plan.

Since the name MLM is in disrepute, the new name “Network Marketing” is being used. But MLM is not just maligned without reason. Some less than honest people have been involved, where companies offered items for sale that were as reliable as the old medicine show snake oil, and sometimes the distributors further down the line made promises they couldn’t or didn’t keep. Many people originally attracted to the plan became disenchanted when the results didn’t pan out and the system got a bad name.

The reality about MLM is that it is just another method of distribution, that in many cases is more efficient then a traditional business and lends itself well to our current internet age. Making money from the sales of others is really very similar to other industries where sales managers get paid overrides for the success of their sales people, managers get paid bonuses for additional revenue generated and business owners make profits from the sales made by their employees.

So an honest, well run, reputable MLM company could well be a new avenue for those currently unemployed who cannot afford to purchase or start a traditional business.

Since there is a need for making a creditable MLM company and using this opportunity in a time of unemployment, the Trump Network has begun. The name itself lends credibility and along with the professionalism that attends the name, success is already associated with it. The name has always been associated with quality and persistence not only for success but for perfection.

The Trump name is best known for elegance in Real Estate and casinos, but will now become the best known name in the rapidly growing network marketing field. With the formal announcement of the “Trump Network”, a new level of credibility for this once shaky industry has been established.

“Trump Network” is already starting to take off simply from the value of the name. A lot of top sales personnel in other MLM organizations have switch because they can see the value of the name and the opportunity it brings to get in on the ground floor of the new company. It will now become the business model for the future.

A person who has been out of work for many months probably just desires a steady income. “Trump Network” starts out with the lofty goal of making more millionaires in the first 2 years of operation than any other network marketing organization that has come before. That may be unreal to those looking for steady employment, but there is opportunity for those, too. Launching a new business is always a risk, but a distinguished brand name certainly limits the possibility of failure.

Will you be one of the millionaires created at The Trump Network?
